Good News Announcement!

We are very proud to announce that we have acquired the use of a building in central Slough, called Dukes House (a vacant office space on the Queensmere shopping centre site), and are in the process of clearing and cleaning it ready for occupation.  Our aim is to use it as a central repackaging and distribution centre for food and goods in Slough, with these items passed on to a network of local organisations and of course our London and Slough Runs. The centre will be staffed by volunteers.

In addition, we plan to use the ground floor of the building as a furniture repair workshop, with skilled volunteers – including the formerly homeless – providing valuable carpentry training to those in need. The proceeds from the resale of furniture will support further community assistance.

This is very exciting for us as an expanding charity and we are hopeful that being centrally based will enhance both our work with the homeless across Slough and our contribution to the local community.
